WHY IS COMMUNICATION IN A COMPANY SO IMPORTANT?

Appropriate communication and information flow in the company are a key ingredient of success. It is worth taking care of it.

Here's what can happen if there is no communication:

  • Employees do not know what they are working on and what their colleagues are doing, they may do the same things twice
  • The customer receives offers with different conditions from two different people from the same company! (yes, yes it's a fact)
  • Lack of coordination of topics, topics are missed, the client does not receive an answer or receives it with a significant delay
  • Employees do not know the company's priorities (they often do not know the company itself and do not know exactly what it does or what projects it runs)
  • Conflicts arise in teams and departments resulting from misunderstandings or gossip

How to briefly and simply ask about good information flow and proper communication in your company:

  1. Take care of the organizational structure of the company and determine the division of duties/scope of responsibilities of employees. Agree with them so that they do not duplicate each other. Make sure that everyone in the company knows who does what and what they are working on.
  2. Define the rules of cooperation and communication with clients: how you communicate, whether a person is assigned to a given client, how you take care of him.
  3. Do your employees know what the company's values are, its policy, what is important in the company and what it is working on? The easiest way to check this is to ask them to present their company in a few sentences. It is worth taking care of this, because people are the company's showcase, not Google or other advertising on social networking sites.
  4. Organize regular (short and to the point) coordination meetings at various levels of the company structure (departments or human resources) to exchange information, tasks, and monitor progress.
  5. You can use e-mail to inform employees about what is happening: information about a new employee, about significant changes in the company, a large contract, announcements. Remember, however, that this information should not be too much and too often - because people will simply not read it!
  6. Ask, ask, ask... Even if everything seems to be going smoothly, it is worth talking to people, asking about their opinion, whether they need support. It costs nothing and creates an atmosphere.

You can always improve communication and relationships in your company to achieve better results than your competitors and be effective.

I'll be happy to show you how to do it.
